There are lots of ways to help foster children in your community. Donating your time, skills or talent can greatly enrich the life of a foster child, their family and yours.
Below you will find some suggestions as to how you can get involved. If you find something that appeals to you, please feel free to contact us so that we can help you get started, put you in touch with the right people, or just offer support where ever you might need it.

5 Ways to Help in 5 Minutes or Less
- Print and display our poster at work/school/church
- Copy and paste the following to your email signature: “Did you know there are over 1,500 foster children and youth on Vancouver Island? Find out more at www.fosterhope.ca”
- Donate money to help support the Foster Hope campaign
- Help spread the word and give your desktop a new look! Put a “Foster Hope” wallpaper on your computer for everyone to see.
- Add one of our banners to your website, or company/personal newsletter.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us with a variety of activities. Your commitment could be as short as one day, or as long as you like. Some things you may help with include: distributing posters/flyers to local businesses, hosting our display table at malls/shows/fairs, helping with mail outs, etc.
For those who love to get up in front of an audience (or for those who like to get better), opportunities will exist to join the ‘Foster Voices’ crew.
